Peddle to the medal

The wind began to blow through tightly woven curls.

Her mind laced with heavy thoughts that only time could erase.

Two souls wandered between eras of which ached for resolution.

Hands pressed firmly against beating temples to suppress the memories.

She smiled through glistening eyes as they traveled mountains high.

His hand held hers steady, but it wasn’t enough.

He watched as she tore herself apart.

Their bodies frozen in a world they couldn’t escape.

Me, myself, and I

My body went still every time I reminisced of past events.
Photo after blissful photo and the tears began to surface.
One by one they fell like dominoes as I sat here waiting for something—
Anything at all to make my heart start beating.
The blood began to thin as my skin began to pale.
The blueish hue of my lips was nothing short of beautiful.
Watching my body transform before my very eyes; my body wilted away to nothing.
My existence has become nonexistent and no one seemed to notice.
